Youth Program Coordinator

Perla Acevedo joined Green Guerillas in 2020 through the Youth Empowerment Pipeline as an Emerging Leader. She quickly embraced the program's values, learning professional and communication skills in her first year. In her second year as a mentor, Perla not only guided youth but also conducted interviews and facilitated communication within community gardens.

Now, as a Junior Staff member and the Youth Program Coordinator, she mentors and supervises youth leaders, ensuring smooth program operations. While working part-time, she's a full-time student majoring in Childhood Education and minoring in Community Change Studies. Her commitment to community empowerment and youth leadership continues to shine at Green Guerillas.
