Seed Library.

Seeds are the foundation of the food we eat. Help us create stronger seed security in NYC! Through this seed library, we aim to 

  • make culturally important seeds more readily available to community gardeners

  • further food sovereignty and further biodiversity

  • encourage local seed saving

  • make connections with organizations and individuals who teach seed saving practices

  • share stories about seeds

We will assemble a mobile version to take to community events. 

Tool Library.

Community gardeners need a range of tools to properly care for gardens, ensure that they produce bountiful harvests and are welcoming and safe spaces for garden and community members. 

This tool lending library will make available a mix of 

  • tools that gardeners use all the time (and may need spares of when working on larger projects), and

  • tools that gardeners only use infrequently and may be too large or expensive to purchase and store on site
