Community Engagement Coordinator

Derrick is a Garden Apprentice, Youth Mentor, and Junior Staff member in the Youth Empowerment Pipeline. His love for gardening sprouted during his sophomore year of high school while working with the Wyckoff Farm House Museum. Through the Youth Empowerment Pipeline, Derrick has deepened his understanding of food justice and food insecurity.

Currently, Derrick has temporarily stepped away from his undergraduate studies to focus on skill development and leadership growth at Green Guerillas. He is incredibly thankful to be part of the Green Guerillas community and continuously seeks innovative ways to inspire young individuals in his community to join our youth leadership and development programs.
